Artist's comments

ダイソーオリジナルTCG「蟲神器」(2022/11～2026/1現在、ブースターパック第6弾まで展開)にて、イラストレーターとして多数のカードイラストを手がけさせていただいております。
2025年3月に開催された「蟲神器人気虫投票」にて、世界遺産・富岡製糸場とゆかりの深い虫「カイコ」の成虫が1位に選ばれたことをきっかけに、2025年7-8月にコラボイベント「蚕蟲祭 - 蟲神器 富岡製糸場ノ陣」が開催されました。
コラボイベントの目玉として2種類の蟲神器プロモーションカードが制作・配布され、その内の1枚「カイコ(幼虫)」の描き下ろしフルアートイラストを担当いたしました。
また、同じくイラストを担当しているカイコ(幼虫/成虫)の蟲神器カードを使用した、顔出しパネルも設置されました。
イベントの開催により、日本全国から大変多くの見学者が訪れ、世界遺産に触れるきっかけ作りや地域の経済活性等の貢献に関われたことや、プロモーションカード自体も、大きな反響や嬉しい感想を多数いただくなど、イラストレーターとして大変光栄な経験をさせていただきました。

I have been involved in the illustrator work on many of the cards in Daiso's original trading card game, "Mushi jingi" (released up to the 6th booster pack, from November 2022 to January 2026).
In the "Popularity vote of Mushi jingi Insect" held in March 2025, Silkworm(imago) , an insect with a deep connection to the Tomioka Silk Mill, a World Heritage Site, was voted number one.
This led to the collaboration event, "SAN-CHU-SAI" being held in July-August 2025.
As the highlight of the collaboration event, two types of Mushi jingi promotional cards were produced and distributed, and I was in charge of drawing an original full-art illustration for one of these, "Silkworm (larvae)."
In addition, a face cutout board was also set up using the Mushi jingi card of the silkworm (larvae/imago), for which I also provided illustrations.
The event attracted a large number of visitors from all over Japan, creating an opportunity to experience World Heritage sites and contributing to the local economy.
The promotional cards themselves also received a great response and many happy comments, which made it a great honor for me as an illustrator.

本作品は、トレーディングカードゲームという商品特性の中で、難易度の高いモチーフを成立させている点を高く評価させていただきました。
繊細なバランスが求められる題材を、違和感なく子ども向け商品として魅力へと昇華している点が印象的でした。
全国展開される商品において継続的に制作を担当されている点も含め、技術と実務力の両面がしっかりと発揮された、完成度の高い商品イラストだと感じました。

This work was highly praised for its ability to create a challenging motif within the product characteristics of a trading card game.
It was impressive how the artist managed to seamlessly elevate a subject that requires delicate balance into an appealing product for children.
Including the fact that he has been continuously responsible for creating products that are sold nationwide, we felt that this was a highly polished product illustration that fully demonstrated both his technical and practical skills.

数年にわたる大きなプロジェクトに継続参加していること自体が、大変素晴らしいことです。
今回は世界遺産との掛け合わせたイラストモチーフをカードゲームのデザインに昇華させたのは、圧巻だと思います。
糸を紡ぐ蚕の神秘性さえ描かれていて素晴らしいと思います。

It's amazing that she has been able to continue participating in such a major project spanning several years.
I think it's amazing how she has managed to elevate the illustrated motif of World Heritage sites into a card game design.
I think it's wonderful how she has even depicted the mysticism of the silkworms that spin thread.

細部まで丁寧に描き込まれた昆虫の表現は非常に完成度が高く、作品の大きな魅力となっています。
ゲーム体験を通して自然と親しみや学びへとつながる構成も意義深い点として評価いたしました。
また、大手製造業・出版社・メーカーとのコラボレーションにより、商品の情報や魅力が広く発信された点も、本プロジェクトの価値を高める要素として評価いたしました。

The insects are meticulously drawn down to the smallest detail, and are extremely well-crafted, making them a major attraction of the work.
I also recognized the significant aspect of the game's structure, which encourages familiarity with and learning about nature through the game experience.
I also recognized the fact that collaborations with major manufacturers, publishers, and makers have enabled the widespread dissemination of product information and appeal, as an element that adds to the value of this project.

「蟲神器」というトレーディングカードで難しいテーマのイラストを多数制作されたことにまず敬意を評します。
虫をいかにかっこよく見せるか、イラストレーターの技量が問われる仕事です。
その中で一番人気だったカイコのイラストが世界遺産の富岡製糸場でコラボされ、巨大なパネルになり、大勢の人目を引くことになり、素晴らしい働きをしたと思います。

First of all, I would like to express my respect for the fact that you created so many illustrations on such difficult themes for the "Mushi Sacred Artifacts" trading cards.
Making insects look cool is a job that tests an illustrator's skill.
The most popular of these was an illustration of a silkworm, which was made in collaboration with the Tomioka Silk Mill, a World Heritage Site, and turned into a huge panel that attracted many people's attention, so I think it was a fantastic job.
