Artist's comments

最近、「一緒にお祝いする」という行為そのものが、以前より少し特別なものになってきたように感じています。だからこそ今回は、ただ見るためのビジュアルではなく、その場にいる人たちと一緒につくり、気持ちを重ねていけるアートの形を考えました。
来館者の方々が描いた蝶々が少しずつ集まり、最終的にひとつの《おめでとうの森》として完成すMemorialボードを制作しています。誰かが描いた一枚に、また誰かの想いが重なっていく…その過程自体が、自然なコミュニケーションになることを大切にしています。
この蝶々たちは、それぞれ形も色も違います。親子で描いたもの、少し照れながら描いたもの、勢いよく自由に描かれたもの。そのすべてが集まることで、言葉がなくても伝わる祝福の空気が生まれていく様子が、イベントではとても印象的でした。
さらにセレモニー当日には、上戸彩さんからお祝いのメッセージとサインも加わり、来場者の方々の想いとひとつの画面の中で交わりました。
イラストは、完成した瞬間よりも、人の手を介し、気持ちが行き交う中で一番生き生きするものなのかもしれないとつくづく思います。この作品が、そんな実感を共有できる場になっていれば嬉しいです!!

Recently, I feel like the act of "celebrating together" itself has become a little more special than before. That's why this time, rather than just creating visuals to look at, I thought of a form of art that could be created together with the people present and that would allow emotions to build upon each other.
The memorial board is made up of butterflies drawn by visitors, which gradually come together to form a single "Forest of Congratulations." Each drawing is layered with the thoughts of others...we value this process as a natural form of communication.
Each butterfly is a different shape and color. Some were drawn by parents and children, some were drawn with a bit of embarrassment, and some were drawn with energy and freedom. Coming together, they created an atmosphere of celebration that could be conveyed without words, which was very impressive at the event.
Furthermore, on the day of the ceremony, Aya Ueto added a congratulatory message and autograph, connecting the thoughts of the visitors on one screen.
I truly believe that illustrations are most alive not at the moment of completion, but when they are passed through human hands and emotions are exchanged. I would be happy if this work could become a place where people can share these feelings!

大阪ガス ハグミュージアムで展開された本企画は、イラストを「見るもの」から「一緒につくるもの」へと広げた点を高く評価させていただきました。
来館者が描いた蝶々が集まり森を形づくるアイデアは、「完成された絵」ではなく「人が関わることで完成していく場」をつくっている点が素晴らしいと思います。
広告として機能するだけでなく、イラストをきっかけに来館者同士のやり取りや気持ちの重なりが生まれている点も印象的でした。

皆をワクワクさせるメインビジュアルがより多くの参加者を集めたと思います。
参加型のイベントで、参加者それぞれが思い思いの蝶を描き、メインボードに貼ってゆくという最終的なイメージがない中での企画は大変難しかったと思いますが、見事に最後に素晴らしい集合体での作品になっていて素晴らしいです。

I think the main visual, which excited everyone, attracted so many participants.
It was a participatory event, and each participant drew their own butterfly and pasted it on the main board, so it must have been very difficult to plan without any final image, but it was wonderful to see the group come together in the end to create such a wonderful piece of work.

楽しい雰囲気、ワクワク感が伝わってくるイラストにっていると思います。
ただイラストを見せるだけでなく、お客さん参加型のイベントになってるのがユニークで素晴らしい企画だなと思います。
一つ一つの蝶に一人一人の願いが込められていて、イラストの画面が蝶で蝶で埋め尽くされている画面は圧巻です。
